Deputy ManagerA Deputy Manager is required to ensure the smooth day to day running of the business and will be answerable to the Manager. The successful candidate will be reliable and professional at all times, hands on in the job and used to leading by example. They must possess excellent customer service skills, have a good eye for detail and good cash handling skills. The post is very varied and will require enthusiasm, energy, a sense of fun and flexibility.
Cooks, Catering Assistants & General Culinary Geniuses required10am – 6pm weekdays 9.30 – 6pm WeekendsWe are looking for a cook to run our small, but sometimes busy, kitchen, preparing and cooking simple meals for our parties and customers. No qualifications are necessary but the right people must be mature in their approach, will be organised and able to work well on their own. They should also be capable of working well under pressure. Job shares may be considered.
Customer Service staffWeekdays 9.30am to 7pm, Saturdays 9.30am till 7pm and Sundays 11am till 7pm.We are looking for staff who are reliable, energetic, confident and outgoing. The Customer Service role at The Funky Gibbon Playcentre is a very varied role covering everything from booking children in and out of the centre, booking parties both over the phone and in person, handling money, serving coffee and food, preparing balloons, and ensuring a safe clean environment for all visitors. Additionally we are looking for three customer service staff to run toddler activities in a morning and afternoon. This person will be confident in delivering a variety of play activities to include Music & Movement, games and Arts & Crafts. Experience and qualifications would be good but if you have no formal qualifications this is still OK. However, you should enjoy working with children, be confident, be fun and be creative in your thinking, as you will be required to be flexible for this very enjoyable role.
Party HostsWeekdays 3pm and 7pm, Saturdays 10am till 7pm and Sundays 11am till 6.30pm.We are looking for staff who are organised, confident and outgoing. The party host's role covers everything from meeting and greeting the children as they arrive for their parties, organising all games and ensuring the smooth running of the party, dealing with menus, ensuring that the party food and drinks reach the children, clearing up after each party and ensuring payment is revieved. Party hosts will also be expected to work when private hire parties are booked on an ad hoc basis. These are all part time vacancies and it is envisaged that the successful candidates will cover a minimum of 2 two shifts per week.
